Disappointment Part III

So, as I keep moving forward in this series of "Disappointment" posts, the title becomes less and less relevant.

This afternoon I was just printing an assignment to make sure it was in for 5:00. I'd been reading Richard Dawkins' book, The God Delusion over the weekend and had to finish up with a five page paper outlining his beliefs. My phone starts vibrating in my pocket. Pull it out. Look at it. Grande Prairie number, don't know it though. Ah well, maybe it's the Dodge dealership again. Maybe it's a friend who needs a ride. Answer it. A dude named Ben answers me. He's from SRD. He asks me if I want a job. I say yes.

So as of 3 days after I finish school this spring, I will be working for the Government of Alberta as a forest firefighter. I will be based out of Grande Prairie or Valleyview after two weeks of training in Hinton. I am so stoked, this was my dream summer job and now I have it. I'll likely be rooming with someone up here for my time off, so it's pretty likely that I will not spend much time down south. I'm sitting here, practically vibrating on my chair, I'm so excited. It's a new challenge, bring it on :)
